Los Alisos prides itself on having a successful and meaningful iPad 1:1 implementation program. It is our goal to teach students to use technology as a tool, not a toy. Implementing iPad use in the classrooms allows students to become self-directed learners who are in charge of what they learn and how much they learn and well as teaching 21st Century productivity habits. This year I am teaching two of the 7th grade iPad 1:1 classes. Both are my PLTW 7 classes and many of you may remember be from hanging around Mrs. KJ's and Mr. Manso's classes last year. This year you will continue to use your iPad for a myriad of school uses including blogging, videos, pictures, word processing, and work flow management (to name a few!). I'm sure all of you have been busy finding new and exciting apps this summer...so was I! Below is a list of apps that are essential, super handy, and/or just plain fun. :)
Essential Apps You MUST have these apps for class! Most of them will come pre-loaded on iPads purchased through the district.
More Essential Apps
Most of these will also come with your ipad if you purchased it through the district. If you are bringing your own device, you will need to purchase and load these apps too.
Apps For Fun Just what it sounds like. Pure. Simple. Fun.
